Coinsource Spring 2022 Experiential Hiring Program

Project Synopsis

Coinsource is looking for your help better launching new Bitcoin ATM Machines throughout the US Market. They want to leverage your marketing skills and expertise to drive as much traffic to a brand new Bitcoin ATM Machine as possible. You and your team will be provided with your own brand new Bitcoin ATM in a different (but similar) location in the US. Each team will also be provided with a real marketing budget to figure out how to get the most adoption on a brand new Bitcoin ATM machine assigned to your team throughout the duration of the program.

  • Some activities you may want to consider doing throughout the program include… deep dive into the Bitcoin ATM Market and Coinsource’s product, researching best practices when launching ATM machines, physically visiting real ATM / Bitcoin ATM Machines to see how users behave, developing social media and/or local marketing tactics to help gain traction of that machine.
    In addition to gaining traction at your machine (most amount of visits, highest volume of bitcoin transactions), Coinsource is looking for you to develop a “Launch Playbook” so that the marketing team can better launch similar Bitcoin ATM Machines in the future.

Coinsource now has a portfolio of over 1000+ machines across 50 US States.

  • February 13, 2022 - Milestone One: Conduct a Deep Dive into Bitcoin, Bitcoin ATMs, and Coinsource's Business Model & Product

    • What is Bitcoin’s use case in Coinsource’s business model and business philosophy?
    • What is Bitcoin’s short term and long term growth/expansion potential?
    • Who are Bitcoin’s users and target market?
    • Who are Bitcoin’s competitors, as far as other cryptocurrency is concerned?
    • What problem does Coinsource look to solve as a result of this project and associated Bitcoin ATMs?

    Suggested Deliverable:

    Deliverable: One page overview and accompanying infographic of Bitcoin and associated Coinsource Business Model implications

  • February 20, 2022 - Milestone Two: Inventory and Benchmark Bitcoin ATM's in the United States

    • What are the different types of Bitcoin ATM’s?
    • Who are the users of Bitcoin ATM’s?
    • What variables/metrics does Coinsource consider in selecting Bitcoin ATM geographic locations?
    • Does Bitcoin ATM geographic location vary by type of Bitcoin ATM?
    • What variables/metrics does Coinsource consider in selecting Bitcoin ATM venues (i.e., type of retail, entertainment establishment, etc.)?
    • Does Bitcoin ATM venue vary by type of Bitcoin ATM?
    • What are the KPI’s of ‘successful’ Bitcoin ATM’s?  How are those KPI’s moderated/affected by geographic location and venue?
    • How is Bitcoin ATM user behavior affected by geographic location and venue?

    Suggested Deliverable:

    Deliverable: Benchmark analysis of Bitcoin ATM performance by location and venue

    Deliverable: 4-5 Robust and Distinct Customer (Bitcoin ATM user) personas

  • March 6, 2022 - Milestone Three: Design & Test Marketing Strategy for Assigned Coinsource Bitcoin ATM

    For each of the customer personas (Bitcoin ATM user) created in Milestone #3:

    • What is the ‘customer’ journey?
    • What motivates their use of Bitcoin ATM’s?
    • Who are their influencers?
    • What social media channels and mediums do they use?
    • What recommendations do you have for marketing reach (influencer adoption, media channels, other mediums) for each persona?
    • What KPI’s can you recommend to evaluate yield/success of your marketing recommendations?

     


    Suggested Deliverable:

    Deliverable: Proposed marketing campaign for each persona to include media channels, influencers, other mediums and KPI’s.  Include prototype messaging for the campaigns.

  • March 24, 2022 - Milestone Four: Showcase Traction Metrics & Lessons Learned; Propose Go-Forward Bitcoin ATM Marketing Strategy

    • What geographic location do you recommend for the next Bitcoin ATM? What is the rationale for your recommendation?
    • What venue (type of retail or entertainment or other establishment) do you recommend for the next Bitcoin ATM? What is the rationale for your recommendation?
    • Given your persona research and location and venue recommendation, what unique marketing techniques/vectors can you recommend (i.e., event, cultural uniqueness of locale or venue, demographics of population, celebrity presence, etc.) to enhance awareness and Bitcoin ATM traffic?
    • What channels and mediums will you use to market location and venue? What messaging do you recommend? What timeline do you recommend for your proposed marketing campaign?
    • What KPI’s do you recommend to evaluate success of location and venue selection for the next Bitcoin ATM?

    Suggested Deliverable:

    Deliverable: Go to market playbook with a comprehensive marketing strategy for the next Bitcoin ATM installation/location, including recommended target audience, media campaigns, recommended channels and mediums, and KPI’s to evaluate success. Include prototype messaging for campaigns. Prepare to present your suggestions and ideas directly to Coinsource leadership
