Capstone – Project
Research Digital Products for Connecting to the US Health Insurance Marketplace
A Collaboration Between
New Home Development Corp founded in spring 2021 that primarily serves the Wilmington, North Carolina area in the United States. Our organization works to address a number of interrelated social issues, including housing, education, recovery, and economic empowerment. For this project, we are seeking recommendations for the development of a new digital product aimed at connecting customers with health insurance providers by simplifying the process of selecting the “best fit” insurance carrier and available plans based upon a set of defined health, social, economic, geographic, and other determinants. Ideally, the application would allow customers to seamlessly research their health insurance coverage options, narrow down their options and preferences, and complete the necessary steps for securing and purchasing a health care policy. The entire transaction should be able to be completed in a short time and without intervention, making the insurance buying process more efficient and easier for the average consumer.
