Course Title

The Use of Conscious AI to Improve Business Performance

Collaboration Overview

This course reviews up-to-date definitions of consciousness in artificial intelligence (artificial consciousness in neural networks). Then, related applications of conscious artificial intelligence is explored. This is a graduate-level class of MS and PhD students in Computer Science. With collaborating businesses/companies, the class will develop application prototypes and proof-of-concepts during Feb 29, 2020 through April 30, 2020. Interested businesses/companies are invited to propose application prototype development projects for collaboration. Application examples include (but not limited to) anomaly detection, predictions and predictive modeling, predictive alerts and sensitivity analysis, deep learning, decision making systems, data analytics, etc. Related tools that can be used in collaboration projects include but not limited to  Python, SciPy (NumPy, MatPlotLib, Pandas), SciKit, C/C++, GSL (GNU Scientific Lib), OpenCV (Image/Video/Stream Lib), pcap, strace/dtrace/syscall/kernel module dev, html, HTTP, RESTful, PHP, Javascript, Bash, Tensorflow/Keras/Sonnet, Colab/Jupitor, Git/Github, Tableau, SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Pentaho Kettle, BigQuery, Data Studio, Blockchain/Smart Contract Solidity, Remix, Oraclizer, NVD/ ExploitDB, Assembly and Code/Stack Injection, AWS, full-stack, Appian, Q Experience and/or Qiskit for Quantum Computing, etc.

Small Team Consulting Project - Students work in consulting teams of 3-5 directly with faculty and client liaisons on developing real solutions to real-world challenges.

    School faculty and project champion finalize project charter, legal documents, and background materials.

  • April 30, 2020

    OFFICIAL PROJECT END: We’ll find a time on this day to web conference you into our class to close the project.
