Each Springboard course contains an industry project designed to help students apply their skills in a real world setting. Through the Data Science Externship, Springboard grads of our rigorous Data Science Career Track, who typically have about 3 years of professional experience before enrolling in the course, gain the opportunity to demonstrate real-world experience while helping solve a business problem. These externships are scoped for 120 hours in total, to be completed over the course of 6-8 weeks. Springboard students will have access to their mentor (and industry expert in data science) for guidance and support while they complete the externship. These are fully remote services and companies of all stages are welcomed. We ask that companies with interest in hosting a Springboard Data Science have access to relevant data necessary for execution of the project and have a data scientist, or someone with a related background, on staff.
