Growth Strategy Hyper-Growth Company Capstone

Collaboration Overview

UMD's Growth Strategy course is looking for a Hyper-Growth company in the DC area that requires assistance as they work through growing pains at several levels of the organization. Students will work with the company to determine the best path forward and provide assistance with various tasks that the firm may not be able to prioritize due to their growing pains. The course focusses on helping high-growth startups that are looking to expand rapidly and is taught by a seasoned professor who is an Entrepreneur and has worked in industry.

Engagement Format: Capstone

Small Team Consulting Project - Students work in consulting teams of 3-5 directly with faculty and client liaisons on developing real solutions to real-world challenges.

Timeline & Next Steps

  • November 1, 2016

    School faculty will begin interviewing interested companies and discuss project ideas.

  • December 22, 2016

    Final date for companies to express interest in participating.

  • January 15, 2017

    School faculty and project champion finalize project charter, legal documents, and background materials.
